This 2007 photograph depicted Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Microbiologist, Dr. Karidia Diallo, who was preparing the ABI DNA Analyzer, to be used for drug resistance testing upon samples from PEPFAR (President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief) country patients. With this instrument, Dr. Diallo would be able to analyze the sequencing, and fragment characteristics of a uniquely coded DNA molecule.
